Today, June 20, is the Summer Solstice. This is a very sacred day, the longest day of the year when we see Grandfather Sun in the sky. Tomorrow, June 21, is National Indigenous Peoples Day, a day to celebrate Canada’s Indigenous Peoples and their rich heritage and diversity. We recognize their important contributions to the development of Canada as a nation. Tomorrow is also Father’s Day. Let us celebrate all fathers. Hear Knowledge Keeper Harold Lavallee’s words of wisdom on these special days and why we should honour them and one another.
