Frills, spikes, teeth, and plates – these adaptations helped dinosaurs survive! Students will learn about the meaning behind dinosaur names and create their own dinosaur drawing to keep.
Grades K to 2 BOOK ONLINE
Get up close with dinosaur teeth to see the differences between theirs and our own. Examine a variety of dinosaur teeth and paint a replica “Scotty” tooth to keep!
Grades K to 8 BOOK ONLINE
Explore the geologic history of Saskatchewan and follow the rock cycle. Your class is sure to enjoy the delightfully messy process of watching erosion in fast-forward! (Relax, we do all the clean-up.)
Grades 3 to 5 BOOK ONLINE
Have you ever wondered how paleontologists know where to dig? Join us in “local” prospecting at the Paleo Lab Experience and experience being a paleontologist! Students will learn how fossils are processed, from excavation to exhibit displays in museum and storage in collections. Students will take turns in excavating their own mystery block and use a quarry map in excavating fossils in our dig tables.

Learn about the Age of Dinosaurs! See how dinosaurs evolved and how changes in the Earth system can shape the diversity of life.
Grades 5 to 12 BOOK ONLINE
Search through collected matrix for microfossils. Learn the importance of fossils big and small and partake in a citizen science project.

Watch “New Dinosaur Hunters”, a 30-minute video about the discovery and unearthing of Scotty the T. rex, in the Canada Discovery Theatre.

Learn about the history of palaeontology and how changes in our understanding of past life are reflected through paleoart. Test your skills to see if you can match centuries old reconstructions to what we believe these prehistoric creatures look like today.
Grades Biology 30 (Can accommodate Grades 9 to 12) BOOK ONLINE
Specifically designed for students taking Bio 30, this tour guides you through the history of the earth and how organisms have changed alongside it. Major talking points covered are: evolution and speciation, biogeography, evidence of evolution within the fossil record, and important evolutionary events of the past.

See different concepts within a palaeontologist’s toolkit. Using geology, biology, and palaeontology, come up with a method of testing palaeontological problems.
