Get into the game.

The Friends of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum are hosting the sixth Artifact/Artifiction, an evening of deduction, deception and discovery on Friday, April 17, 2026.

Artifact/Artifiction is a unique fundraising experience located in the Royal Saskatchewan Museum. We'll present peculiar artifacts from the Royal Saskatchewan Museum collections – and even stranger tales about their origins – throughout the gallery spaces. Which tales are fact? Which are fiction? Uncover the twisted truths and you'll take home the GRAND PRIZE. Your $90 ticket includes light appetizers, a beverage (beer or wine), PLUS games and entertainment including a silent auction, raffles, music and cash bar.

Artifact / Artifiction

All proceeds from Artifact/Artifiction go directly to the Royal Saskatchewan Museum Opportunity Fund to help fund scientific research in Saskatchewan. Since its inception, Artifact/Artifiction has raised more than $200,000 and funded nine graduate students studying everything from pollination to bugs in amber.

We respect and honour the Treaties that were made on all territories, we acknowledge the harms and mistakes of the past, and we are committed to moving forward in partnership with Indigenous Nations in the spirit of reconciliation and collaboration.
