Tricks, Treats & Roars: Halloween at the Museum

Celebrate Halloween with us. We'll be in our costumes and we hope you will be too!

Halloween BOO-gie | 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

  • A storytime and dance for children ages 3 to 6.
  • No registration needed; arrive at 10:30 a.m. to join the fun.
  • Kick things off with a dinosaur-themed Halloween story, then shake your bones to Halloween songs beneath Scotty’s skeleton in the T. rex Gallery. We’ll even have a Halloween treat for you to take home!

Activities for all ages | 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

  • Ongoing activities, drop-in as part of your Museum visit. 
  • Get an up-close look at flesh-eating dermestid beetles in the lobby.
  • Search for snakes, bats, bugs and more in a scavenger hunt.
  • Discover the fascinating world of bats at the Discovery Cart.
  • Test your courage with mystery touch-and-feel boxes and explore animal X-rays in the Learning LAB.
