Take a closer look at owls in Saskatchewan and the work of our Museum scientists, in drop-in discovery sessions in the Learning LAB. Activities include owl pellet dissection, comparing your grip strength to an owl's and a special lab session on August 13.

August 13 | Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at how museum specimens are prepared, as our collections staff demonstrate the process of creating owl taxidermy mounts and study skins. Learn about the work involved in preserving these birds for research and education, and discover how specimens help scientists better understand wildlife. This engaging, up-close program offers a rare glimpse into the work that supports museum collections. (NOTE: This August 13 session shows handling and dissection of deceased animals. Viewer discretion is advised.)
