Come along with us in the lead-up to #GivingTuesday as we feature a new “Friend” of the Museum every week until then! This week’s #FriendFriday features Michael Schmidt.

Michael has been a dedicated volunteer and active Friend of the Museum for over 11 years, and while you may not know his name, you almost certainly have met him before! Michael is the performer behind the Friends of the Royal Saskatchewan Museum's beloved mascot Munchie, and he loves making a difference in his community. “Being a volunteer, member, or donor affects the community you’re living in,” says Michael. “You don’t have to don a dinosaur costume to make a difference,” he says with a grin. “But I encourage you to get involved and put a smile on a child's face, and then you’ll see that it’s all worth it.”

Put smiles on the faces of children by supporting education programs at the Royal Saskatchewan Museum this #GivingTuesday, November 29th, and all year round.
