The Royal Saskatchewan Museum celebrates National Indigenous History month with the above partners.

Blanket Exercise

Registration is NOW FULL.

Travel through 500 years of shared history to better understand the nation-to-nation relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples of Canada. Registration is required. Maximum of 25 participants.


6:30 p.m.   Doors open.

7:00 p.m.   Blanket Exercise begins with an opening prayer and introduction to the Exercise by the facilitators. Seated in a circle, participants will introduce themselves. The exercise begins with blankets as the land base and the exercise goes through 500 years of shared history through scripts and props. After the exercise, there is a sharing circle for the participants who would like to share their experience. This is an experiential program and can be emotional.

Tea and bannock will be served after. The program may run until 9:30 pm.
