10:30 am and 11:30 am Earth Day Storytime
Join us for a special Earth Day storytime . We will be reading Mary McKenna Siddals’s book “Compost Stew” at 10:30 am and 11:30 am. Meet us in the Buffalo Room located in our First Nations Gallery, and please be punctual! Space is limited in the Buffalo Room with a capacity of 40 people, so the storytime session is first come, first served.  Storytime is geared towards children aged 2 to 5 and their caregivers.

1:30 pm and 4:00 pm Earth Day Drop-in Activities
Nature is pretty amazing and as humans we can learn a lot from it. Come and find out how nature is inspiring people to discover and invent new technologies from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Velcro was inspired by burrs, fireflies sparked the idea for LED lights and bullet trains were modelled off of the kingfisher's beak. These are just a few examples of biomimicry. Find us in the Ecozone located in our Life Sciences Gallery.
